Growth hormone-releasing peptide 6 (GHRP-6) (developmental code name SKF-110679), also known as growth hormone-releasing hexapeptide, is one of several synthetic met-enkephalin analogues that include unnatural D-amino acids, were developed for their growth hormone-releasing activity and are called growth hormone secretagogues. They lack opioid activity but are potent stimulators of growth hormone (GH) release.
These secretagogues are distinct from growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) in that they share no sequence relation and derive their function through activation of a completely different receptor. This receptor was originally called the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR), but due to subsequent discoveries, the hormone ghrelin is now considered the receptor’s natural endogenous ligand, and it has been renamed as the ghrelin receptor. Par conséquent, these GHSR agonists act as synthetic ghrelin mimetics.
SKF-110679 GHRP-6 Uses
GHRP-6, and this applies to all GHRP hormones, mimic the production of ghrelin. This mode of action stimulates the ghrelin receptors, GHS-R1a or Growth Hormone Secretagogue. This stimulation acts to increase GH production by stimulating the pituitary, specifically the ghrelin receptors located in the pituitary.
When the body is in a fasted state, this is when ghrelin levels are elevated. When the fasted state is met by elevated ghrelin activity, the resulting stimulation can lead to a greater production of GH in the body. Cependant, the increase in ghrelin does not end with increases in GH. Elevated ghrelin is also known to stimulate the appetite, which may be useful for those who need excess calories to grow yet find eating difficult. Alternatively, the hormone will promote fat loss and more importantly enhance the rate of recovery. GHRP-6 is also a hormone that is dependent on glucose, specifically when blood sugar levels are low. Elevated levels of blood sugar will render GHRP-6 weaker, meaning it must be taken during a fasted state for any intended benefit to be had.
SKF-110679 GHRP-6 Use Instructions
GHRP-6 is a water based injectable that you will have to mix with bac water, and store. Remember, it is important to store GHRP-6 correctly after mixing it in the fridge. It should be good for up to 3-4 weeks, so only mix what you plan on using during that time frame.
After you carefully mix it, this compound is typically injected subcutaneously with a slin pin. For best results, it must be taken daily, and users will typically do several injections per day in order to space it out. Interestingly, GHRP-6 works best if you take it when blood sugar levels are low, and you should not eat anything for an hour after using it. If used solo, users will run 100-400 micrograms (mcg) per injection, and if stacked with another GH hormone, dosages can be cut in half.
