Gonadorelin (GnRH – Gonadotropin-releasing hormone), also known as luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone and luliberin, is a trophic peptide hormone responsible for the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the anterior pituitary gland. Gonadorelin (GnRH) is synthesized and released from the neurons inside the hypothalamus. This peptide belongs to the gonadotropin-releasing hormone family. The releasing of Gonadorelin represents the initial step in the system of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis which in males results in increasing of the testosterone blood level.
